Goodbye, 2021!
Our annual family getaway has concluded.
We went to the Mornington Peninsula. There were so many things to see and do. I just wanted to go to the beach. But my kids had other plans that involved food. Hubby, on the other hand, needed to feed his passion for photography. So, some things never change.
First stop: Cape Schanck
Weโve been there several times. When my kids were little, we even stepped closer to the beach area. This time we were just there to catch the sunset. I heard the long boardwalk is worth it. I reached half way though.
Next stop: Flinders
Ice cream first. Then, window shopping next. ๐
Food Trip is a Good Trip
Here is a lovely place for that well-deserved rest - check out Boatshed Cheese.
There is a beautiful combination of the colors blue and orange in here together. This is a classic example of what I gravitate to. ๐งก๐
We got a lot on the board (good for 4 persons, anyway ๐). How hard is it to choose from 12 or so artisan cheeses? All I can say is it's a great stopover for the family, and a cosy place to boot. Thanks for a great experience, guys.
If you are after artisan handmade cheese, check out their details below where you can find them.

We needed some cider to match with the cheese so we headed to Mr. Little Cider. Our take-home loot consists of a box of Ginger, Mango, Spiced Apple and Blackcurrant.

We were well-fed and our eyes were satisfied too. Very grateful after a long lockdown, we were able to do a road trip like this. Still taking precautions here because we are not out of the woods yet. We wanted to enjoy our family time as much as we can.
Stay safe, Mamas. Will get there.
