WTM Craftivity 1 : Super Dad Card
I have promised that I am going to run 5 days of craftivity. Day 1 is here. Hope you still have time to make your dad a card.
The materials used here are suggested ones only. You can use whatever paper you may already have or pick a design you like. Before we start, this project may ask to use a cutting machine. But a craft knife is equally useful. The SVG file is created by me and you can download for free for your personal use. If using a craft knife, print the PDF file on your chosen cardstock or on a white plain paper as template, then trace.
What you will need:
Top cardstock, 5 in square / 12.75 cm square
Background cardstock, 5.155 in square / 13.25 cm square
Cardstock for letter cut-outs
Plain white cardstock, 250 gsm, 13.5 cm x 27cm, folded in half
Gold foil board, 300 gsm
Double sided tape
Design template in PDF or SVG (free download when you sign up to the mailing list)
Optional: Kraft square envelope, 14cm x 14cm
Method:
Cut two squares of card stock. Top layer is 5 inches square and background layer is 5.2 inches square.
If using a cutting machine, open the SVG file through your machine and cut the letters first, using the P181, then gold foil board for the shadow layer.
Once, you have them cut, adhere with adhesive and attach the letters one by one on the gold shadow layer.
When everything's attached, adhere “Super Dad” at the center of the foreground square.
Optional step: Run border stitches through the foreground card.
Adhere adhesive tape at the back of the foreground and attach to the background square. Then repeat tape on the background. Attach to the folded card.
